MEET HAILEY BANKHEAD
Hailey was diagnosed on January 15, 2013, at just five years old, with Stage 4 Wilms tumor and Stage 2 lung cancer. After months of chemotherapy and radiation, she courageously completed treatment and has been in remission since August 23, 2013.
Determined not to let her diagnosis define her future, Hailey went on to graduate early from Lovejoy High School, Class of 2025. She is now attending Columbus State University, where she is pursuing her dream of becoming an oncology nurse.
As a childhood cancer survivor, Hailey is passionate about giving back. She plays an active role in the day-to-day operations of the Hailey Bankhead Foundation, helping to support children and families who are walking a journey she knows all too well.
Her message to others is simple but powerful: You are not alone. Find the good in every day, even when it’s not the best day. Keep fighting and never give up.
